This really was one of my favourite weddings to do of 2015. The theme was classic vintage style and Kate had really put so much effort in to making her day perfect. The venue was West Tower in Ormskirk and I was greeted by the most amazing views. Kate’s dress was beautifully embellished with lace and beading and she had a clear vision of how she wanted to look and feel. We had previously done Kate’s makeup trial and we both agreed a classic, vintage red lip was a must.
For Kate’s eye makeup we kept to neutral smokey tones and a flick liner to compliment the lip colour. We kept the skin fresh and dewy using MAC strobe cream teamed with MAC studio sculpt foundation. Her hair was loosely pinned at the back with a beautiful hair piece to set it off.
The colour Kate had chosen for her bridesmaids to wear was a beautiful champagne tone to keep with the vintage theme and it was such a flattering colour – which is really important when considering what your bridal party will be wearing.
For the bridesmaids we wanted more of an eye focus so Kate’s red lip was the main attraction. Keeping with the champagne tone we used MAC gold glitter to add glamour and a classic flick liner. The girls wore MAC Viva glam 2 lipstick the most perfect nude. The bridesmaids hair was wanded and brushed out to create loose waves with a beautiful snow flake clip to incorporate a little bit of the winter setting outside.
